Is anybody else tired of Gary Sheffield's whining and moaningabout his contract? Is there a team that he has been with that he hasn't threatened with retirement, etc.; unless they renegotiate his contract? Why is it that it's O.K. for players to want to negotiate new contracts if they think they are being underpaid, but not O.K. for ownership to demanda new contract because of poor play or actions detrimental to the team? Whatever happened to honor in professional sports? Michael Jordan, arguably the best athlete of the century, played for years with a contract that was nowhere close to his value, without complaint. Is there something special about Sheffield and others like him that makes them better than the players that have forged the trail before them? We think that the whole arena of professional sports is a quagmire of greed and egos that most fans (and just people) are fed up with. The day of reckoning is coming.

Speaking of professional sports, why don't we rank the major sports by certain criteria?
